Sweet Crochet Friends Book Review

Posted by Lauren Espy on

Hi friends! I'm so happy to finally be posting here on my blog again! Besides this post, I only have one other...from last year! It's time to really put this space to good use and I'm so excited for today's post!

A few weeks back, Khuc Cay from @lespetitesmainsdekhuccay asked if I would like to be apart of her book tour for her new book, Sweet Crochet Friends. I of course said yes because I absolutely love the things Khuc Cay makes! No doubt this book would be just as amazing! I couldn't wait to flip through and see all 16 designs. There were so many to choose from and I couldn't wait to pick my favorite!

Can I just say how difficult it is to pick just one? I couldn't decide on just one so I made two instead! Peter the Panda and Billy the Cat were the top contenders so those are what I made!

I always love trying new techniques so I went with the ones that had quite a bit of color changing but would still be simple enough that I could finish these in no time. I loved seeing these come to life as I crocheted. These two friends are so adorable together and I know I'll have a hard time parting with them! One of my favorite parts was crocheting those tiny fish for them to share!

Take a look at how cute these two turned out! I'm in love!

Khuc Cay did such a wonderful job on this book! Everything from the patterns to the step-by-step photos! This book is perfect for everyone of all skill levels. One thing I really loved about this book were the photos. I'm a visual person so when I see a pattern that has loads of photos to help me, I'm sold! Everything is laid out and explained so well that it made it easy to follow along. This would be perfect for anyone just starting out who wants to try amigurumi for the first time!

If you'd like a chance to win a copy of Sweet Crochet Friends, be sure to head over to my Instagram for all the details! But if you're like me and can't wait to get your hands on a copy, you can find it on Amazon!

Thank you Khuc Cay and Tuva Publishing for sending me a copy! I can't wait to make more of these sweet friends!

  • I’m a total beginner and someone mentioned your designs on FB so I popped over but was sad to see only 1 post. I’m glad you’ll be posting again.
